DO WE NEED A WEDDING PLANNER?
To ensure that your big day goes smoothly, La Esperanza Granada requires couples to hire a professional wedding planner who will be in charge of pre-event, event and post-event coordination. This wedding planner will be the contact person for all details. If needed, we can also introduce wedding planners, caterers and other third-party specialists already working in Andalucia.
CAN WE BOOK THE PROPERTY ONLY FOR ONE NIGHT?
We usually require a minimum two-night stay at our property to ensure that enough time is allocated for the staging of your wedding and that the wedding party is well rested before the big celebration. However, on a space availability basis, we occasionally accept bookings for one night for a supplemental charge of 1000 euros. Please discuss this further with us.
WHAT VENUES CAN WE USE ON THE PROPERTY?
We have the front gardens and an Alhambra-inspired courtyard that can be used for cocktail parties. For wedding lunches or dinners, we have a park that can accommodate six tables of 10, and an outdoor event space next to it where up to 30 tables of 10 can be set up. These are all accessible to the catering area. We also have a swimming pool area for more intimate pre- and post-wedding gatherings of up to 40 persons. The surrounding gardens can accommodate more guests.
WHAT IS THERE FOR GUESTS TO DO BEFORE OR AFTER THE WEDDING?
Our property is perfect for rest and rejuvenation. However, guests can also enjoy visits to Granada, Malaga, the Alpujarras and the beautiful towns of the Costa Brava. These are all short drives away and perfect for pleasant day trips. Those wishing to stay around the area can explore the picturesque towns of Saleres, Restabal, and Melegis. On the property, swimming and hiking can be done in complete privacy. Private guides and tutors for everything from horseback riding to yoga and flamenco lessons can also be arranged.
IS THERE A MANAGER ON-SITE DURING THE WEDDING STAY?
We have a full-time English-speaking Spanish manager on-site who is happy to do his best to ensure the wedding guests enjoy their stay with us, while providing them with all the privacy they wish. However, all coordination and logistics involving wedding festivities should be under the responsibility of the wedding planner. If you don’t have a wedding planner on the ground, we will be happy to introduce you to several so that you can select the professional who is best suited for you.
CAN WE PUT UP A STAGE OR A TENT?
It’s possible to set-up both a stage and a tent in our outdoor event venue, which is a tiled area large enough for 30 to 40 tables of 10 persons each. We can work with your wedding planner to create your perfect wedding layout.
ARE THERE ANY SURCHARGES WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT?
We charge a supplemental fee of 200 euros for weddings of 200 guests and over to cover some of the additional security and cleaning costs involved in larger events. There is also a supplemental fee for any other events held on the property during your stay involving 50 guests or over.
CAN WE BRING IN OUR OWN ALCOHOL?
We offer beer at preferential volume rates via an exclusive distribution agreement with a major Spanish brand. Other wines and spirits may be brought in under specific conditions including that these be served by licensed bartenders only. These can be discussed in detail with you or your wedding planner.
WHAT IF COVID19 SUDDENLY AFFECTS OUR PLANS?

CAN WE PLAN OTHER PRE-WEDDING EVENTS AT THE PROPERTY?
We require a minimum two-night stay at our property to ensure that enough time is allocated for the staging of your wedding and that the wedding party is well rested before the big celebration. Before the big day, as many guests will be arriving from various locations, some of our couples have held cocktails, pool barbecue parties, wine dinners, and rehearsal brunches. These events can be organized by your wedding planner. We do have a minor surcharge for events involving 50 persons or more for any additional events aside from the wedding day itself.
